美서 또 우한 폐렴 의심 환자 발생…확진이면 두번째 감염자

미국 텍사스주에서 우한 폐렴 의심 환자가 발생했다고 주요 외신들이 23일(현지시간) 일제히 보도했다.
이 환자가 확진 판정을 받게 되면 미국에서는 두번째 우한 폐렴 감염자가 된다.
AFP와 로이터 통신, 뉴욕타임스에 따르면 미국 방역 당국은 최근 우한 지역을 여행하고 귀국한 텍사스 A&M 대학생을 우한 폐렴 의심 환자로 분류하고 추가 정밀 검사에 들어갔다.
텍사스주 브라조스 카운티에 거주하는 이 의심 환자는 현재 자택에 격리 조처됐으며, 미 질병통제예방센터(CDC)는 환자의 혈액샘플을 받아 24일까지 우한 폐렴 감염 여부를 최종 판정할 예정이다.
텍사스 보건당국은 "(의심환자는) 중국 우한으로 여행을 다녀온 뒤 2주가 지나지 않아 호흡기 질환 증세를 보였다"며 "브라조스 카운티의 공공의료 관계자들이 환자를 조사하고 있다"고 밝혔다.
